AAF
The African American Folklorist is a cultural news magazine that contains articles about African American traditions, beliefs, and music. I worked with their editor in chief Lamont Pearley on their Instagram graphics as a part of my Imagewest internship in Spring 2022.
I created a series of graphics like the ones pictured to highlight influential African Americans throughout history. I also created graphics to commemorate influential African Americans chosen by the AAF as their “Folklorist of the Month.”
NEDA
The National Eating Disorders Association is a nonprofit organization that supports men and women who struggle with eating disorders. NEDA offers resources to those struggling with their disease and works to find a cure and accessible care for those affected.
In my Visual Concepts class in Spring 2020, my professor asked us to make two ads for any large nonprofit. I chose NEDA because I’m close to so many people who struggle with eating disorders. I framed my messaging around the damaging mindset that “skinny is pretty.”
sacred heart
Sacred Heart Academy is an all-girls Catholic school in Louisville. I designed this promotional brochure for Sacred Heart as an assignment for my Visual Concepts class in Spring 2020.
I made a brochure for Sacred Heart because I graduated from there and always loved how they did their branding. Since it’s an all-girls school, they use a lot of feminine fonts and incorporate their heart logo in as many places as possible. It was a fun brochure to make, and I love how it turned out.
pathfinder
Pathfinder is a website and app prototype I created on Adobe XD in Fall of 2019 for my Interactive Design class. The purpose of Pathfinder is for runners like myself to find trails in their area. The trails are organized by park, and the community members can write reviews and share tips. The app specifies the length of the trail and includes directions to find it.
Pathfinder was the first website and app I designed. I think my design skills have significantly improved since this project, but I wanted to include it on my website because I really like the idea.
where's fluffy?
In my Interactive Design class in 2020, I designed a pet finder app called “Where’s Fluffy?” (I did not come up with the name). Where’s Fluffy was the second app I designed, so I think I had the hang of it at this point. The design is simple and clean and includes a bulletin for missing pets, a message board, and pet profiles.
